Prospex 1965 Heritage Diver's 60th Anniversary Limited Men Automatic Silver Dial Analog Stainless Steel Watch SPB511J1
This limited edition design commemorates 60 years of Seikoās heritage in innovative and reliable diving watches, which began with the 1965 launch of Japan and Seikoās first ever Diverās watch.
This latest timepiece takes its inspiration from the very first milestone in Seikoās diving watch expertise ā the ā62MASā 1965 Diver. Due to its reliability, it was worn four times by the Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition team and later by adventurers and explorers in the severest conditions on Earth, including the North and South Poles and Mount Everest.
The modern recreation of the 1965 Diver has been designed under the theme of āThe Great Waveā ā a reference to the iconic woodblock print by artist Hokusai, during the Edo period.
Crafted from stainless steel with a super-hard coating, this timepiece features a special silver-coloured dial pattern, inspired by the wave symbol on its case back. This symbol, seen on all Seiko diving watches since the 1960s, was designed to symbolise high-grade water resistance.
For the first time in a Prospex watch, the short-pitch length bracelet features a micro-adjustable clasp feature for added comfort. The in-house 6R55 automatic calibre is accurate to -15/+25 seconds per day, with a three day power reserve. This timepiece is water resistant up to 300m.
Prospex is a combination of the words āProfessionalā and āSpecifications.ā Seiko Prospex timepieces are designed to be practical, reliable and durable; to meet the high standards required in extreme environments for sports lovers and adventure seekers alike.
